MDC has multiple ongoing collaborations with Grow with Google to advance students technical and career readiness skills. From certificates, to college credits, to digital skills, this partnership offers MDC students the tools to succeed in today’s job market.
Programs
Google Data Analytics Certificate
Students completing the Google Data Analytics Certificate can apply for 12 college credits towards MDC’s bachelor’s degree in data analytics. After receiving the certificate of completion from Google and registering in the Bachelor in Data Analytics at MDC, students will be able to receive the credits from the following courses.
- CAP 1788 - Introduction to Data Analytics (4 credits)
- CAP 4936 - Special Topics in Data Analytics (8 credits)

Google IT Automation with Python Certificate
Miami Dade College brought the Google IT Automation with Python Professional Certificate to the technology market in South Florida. We have adapted the course for an instructor-led online class environment with instructional support at The Idea Center.
The 17-week program is designed to equip students with job-ready skills with Python, which is currently the most in-demand programming language by employers. The program will prepare students on IT tasks automation with Python, IT resources management at scale, and execution of technical skills to solve real-world IT problems.Google Project Management Certificate
Miami Dade College is bringing the Google Project Management Certificate to the market in South Florida. We have adapted the course for an instructor-led class environment with instructional support at the Business Innovation & Technology Center.
The 16-week Google Project Management program not only focuses on project management artifacts and skill sets, but essential business acumen skills like stakeholder management, influencing, critical thinking in problem-solving, and effective communication.
HSI Career Readiness Program
Miami Dade College is among the 20 Hispanic Serving Institutions selected to join the Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness Program. The initiative will help students prepare for the workforce through digital skills training and career workshops. Through a $2 million investment from Google in the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), the program aims to train 200,000 students by 2025.
The program is being implemented at MDC through its MDC WORKS Career Studio, which will incorporate the Grow with Google Career Readiness learning modules on its website so that it’s easily accessible for students. The program will also be piloted into its existing career readiness programming.
