The School of Engineering and Technology (EnTec) is offering the Javier Coto Scholarship to all students that enroll in tech courses in Fall 2022 semester. The scholarship will support the development of talent in AI, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, IoT and App Development. Every student that meets the eligibility requirements will receive the scholarship in the form of tuition reimbursement after the drop date of each course and after all other scholarships and financial aid have been applied. Students receiving the scholarship will be notified after the reimbursement is applied.

LevelUP is proposed to create an agile workforce by advancing education and training of Miami-Dade County’s future technology workforce. The scholarship provides full scholarship for rapid credentialing education and training in emerging technology related College Credit Certificate (CCC) programs of study like Business Intelligence Professional, Network Security, Enterprise Cloud Computing.Apply to this Scholarship
Miami-Dade County residents with interest in a career in tech, not currently enrolled at MDC.
The scholarship funds will cover the cost of in-state tuition, materials, and fees towards the completion of a College Credit Certificate in Business Intelligence Professional, Network Security, Enterprise Cloud Computing or any other CCC in a tech related field.
The scholarship concludes upon the completion of a College Credit Certificate.
AI for All provides free tuition to students registered in Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses at MDC. Designed to help students who are unemployed or underemployed to retool and retain in a high-demand technology jobs in areas such as Helpdesk Support, Computer Programing, Electronic Engineering Technology, and Information technology. The EDGE Program is made possible through financial support from our generous sponsors; PepsiCo Foundation and Bank of America with the goal of helping our Scholars obtain the tools they need to join the workforce in a high-demand, high-wage field.Apply to this Scholarship
High School Graduates who have earned a standard high school diploma, GED, or home-school diploma with a 2.5 GPA or higher. New or returning students (returning to college after separation for a year or more) with a college GPA of 2.5 or higher.
The scholarship funds will be applied at the in-state tuition rate after all other resources available to cover tuition and fees have been applied. In addition, scholarship recipients will receive a $500 book stipend and on the job training experiences.
The scholarship concludes upon the completion of a workforce program (Associate in Science, or College Credit Certificate.
Miami Dade College and Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) partnered to provide scholarships for Black students to facilitate the completion of baccalaureate degrees in the technology field. The funds from FPL will be used to cover tuition, fees, books, and transportation costs for eligible Black students. This support will allow students to focus on their education, accelerating completion and entry into the tech workforce.Apply to this Scholarship
Black students that are US Citizen or permanent resident, admitted in an MDC baccalaureate degree program in technology such as Information Systems Technology, Cybersecurity, or Data Analytics. Must enroll in a minimum of two, upper-division baccalaureate degree courses per term for one year.
The scholarship funds will cover stipend for courses fees and textbooks towards the completion of a baccalaureate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems Technology, or Data Analytics.
The scholarship is valid for a year.
Lennar Foundation and Miami Dade College partnered to prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills to obtain the CompTIA A+ certification and become successful IT Help Desk/Support Specialists. Upon successful completion of the program students can seamlessly transition to a College Credit Certificate at MDC.Apply to this Scholarship
